Probation Employee of the Year Award
During the National Pretrial, Probation and Parole week, Probation staff vote for the employee who excels in their duties and upholds the mission of the Mono County Probation Department, to protect the community and preserve victim’s rights by holding individuals accountable through the implementation of evidence-based practices and rehabilitative services. This year Dylan Whitmore, Deputy Chief, received the Probation Employee of the Year Award. Mono County Probation and our community are proud to have his exemplary service.
It is with great pleasure that we recognize Dylan Whitmore as this years’ Probation Employee of the Year. Dylan, our department’s Deputy Chief, consistently goes above and beyond to ensure clients receive the supervision and services they need to successfully reintegrate into the community. He treats every client as a priority and believes they are the best part of the job—an approach that directly contributes to a safer Mono County.
In his role as Deputy Chief, Dylan supervises the probation staff and serves as a steady guide and role model for probation employees. His skill in handling complex situations with confidence and ease, coupled with his consistent respect for everyone, has earned him the admiration of peers, supervisors, and justice partners. He is a tremendous asset to the probation team.
Dylan has dedicated 17 years to the field of probation. Outside of work, his top priorities are family, health, and hunting.
