The Candidate's Guide for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election will be available in September 2025.

Candidate Filing Forms will be issued in-person from the Elections's Office in Bridgeport, CA from February 9, 2026 through March 6, 2026. If an incumbent does not file by March 6, the filing deadline is extended to March 11.
- Between December 11, 2026-February 4, 2026, candidates may obtain signature-in-lieu forms from the county office of elections to secure signatures in lieu of paying all or part of the filing fee.

Local Candidates may file 200-word Candidate Statements (250-word limit for US Representative and Legislative Candidates) for inclusion in the June 2, 2026, Primary Election County Voter Information Guide.

Assembly Bill 773 (Pellerin) Chapter 664, Statutes of 2023, an elections official shall post the form to be used by a candidate to submit a candidate statement pursuant to Section 13307, Section 13307.5, or subdivision (c) of Section 85601 of the Government Code, on the elections official’s internet website, and shall accept the electronic submission of that form if it is submitted in accordance with the times and procedures set forth in this code for the preparation of the voter information portion of the county voter information guide.
