Menstruation Kit

Menstruation Kits

Menstruation kits contain products to help manage your period safely and comfortably. There are several options available, and the best choice depends on your personal preference and lifestyle.

Pads

  • Worn inside your underwear to absorb menstrual flow.
  • Available in a variety of sizes and absorbencies.
  • Change every 3–4 hours, or more often if needed.

Tampons

  • Inserted into the vagina to absorb menstrual flow.
  • Choose the lowest absorbency needed for your flow.
  • Change every 4–8 hours.
  • Do not wear a tampon for more than 8 hours to reduce the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).

Menstrual Cups

  • Reusable cups (such as a DivaCup®) that collect menstrual flow instead of absorbing it.
  • Can be worn for up to 12 hours, depending on your flow.
  • Empty, wash, and reinsert according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Reusable menstrual cups can last for several years with proper care.

Important Reminders

  • Wash your hands before and after changing menstrual products.
  • Change products regularly to help prevent leaks and irritation.
  • If you experience severe pain, very heavy bleeding, or have concerns about your menstrual cycle, contact your healthcare provider.
