2024 Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update
Welcome to the project page for the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJHMP) update for Mono County and the Town of Mammoth Lakes. The MJHMP is being updated to include the most current information on the risks and vulnerabilities of multiple hazards affecting the Town and County as well as new specific mitigation strategies and actions that will reduce or eliminate those risks or vulnerabilities.
Mono County was granted funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)/California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) to update the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan, which covers the Town of Mammoth Lakes, Mono County, and participating local special districts.

The public review period for the draft MJHMP will run for 30-days from November 7, 2025 to December 7, 2025. Deadline to submit comments is December 7, 2025!
