The facilities division of the Mono County Department of Public Works is responsible for the operation and maintenance of of the Lundy Canyon Campgroung. For the 2015 season, the fee is $16.00 per campsite per day. Due to current drought conditions and recent local wildfires the public is urged to keep fire safety in mind and exercise caution when having campfires in the campground (see Fire restrictions link below). The campgounds are closed during winter months, and generally operate from mid-April through mid-November depending upon snow conditions. Late season travelers are advised to check sierra weather forecasts prior to departure.
This seasonal campground is set among beautiful Aspen Groves lining the banks of Mill Creek. An on-site campground host provides fee collection services for the 36 first-come, first-served camping spaces that include restrooms, non-potable water spigots, picnic benches, fire-rings, and bear boxes. See the information packet link below for more on the campground fees, fee instructions, layout and vicinity map.
The 2015 opening date for this campground is Friday, April 24th. For information on other campgrounds in Mono County see the Campground Guide link below. Occasionally vistors have confused this campground and its amenities with the similarly named "Lundy Lake Campground" or the "Lundy Lake Resort".
Please note that the water source feeding the campground is spring fed, so that campers should plan on bringing their own potable water or be prepared to treat the water themselves.
