    TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN CALIFORNIA, YOU MUST BE:

    A United States citizen,

    A resident of California,

    18 years of age or older on Election Day,

    Not currently imprisoned or on parole for the conviction of a felony (for more information on the rights of people who have been incarcerated, please see the Secretary of State's Voting Rights for Californians with Criminal Convictions or Detained in Jail or Prison), and

    Not found mentally incompetent by a court of law.

    General Information

    June 7 Update - Today is Election Day.  If you haven't already voted, please get out and do so!  The polls close at 8:00, and we will be posting results as they come in.

    Please note the California State Senate is not being voted on in Mono County this year.

    The elections for United States Senate, House of Representatives, and California Assembly are all "Top 2" primary elections.  The two candidates who receive the most votes for each office, regardless of party, will advance to the General Election on November 8.
