Services for Older Adults in Mono County

We provide programs and resources to help older adults stay healthy, active, and independent.

 

 

What We Offer

Meals on Wheels

Weekly delivery of 5 hot or frozen meals to adults 60+ who are homebound or unable to cook. Includes a friendly visit and safety check. Available countywide.

Transportation Assistance

Rides to non-emergency medical appointments and essential services for homebound or isolated seniors. Bus passes available.

Senior Center Activities

Nutritious meals, social events, and a welcoming space at the Antelope Valley Senior Center.

In Home Supportive Services [4]
In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS)

IHSS helps eligible older adults, people who are blind, and people with disabilities live safely at home—instead of in nursing or board-and-care facilities—by paying for in-home help. Recipients must be eligible for or receiving Medi-Cal.

This website allows residents with access and functional needs to share their location and contact information with emergency response agencies. By doing so, these agencies can better assist them during disasters or other emergencies.

The California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long-term care facilities throughout the State.  The Department administers funds allocated under the federal Older Americans Act and the Older Californians Act.
