MONO COUNTY LANDFILL AND TRANSFER STATIONS RECYCLING AND HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL LOCATIONS Please note: If you have questions or concerns regarding the facilities it is best to contact the Public Works' administrative office at 760.932.5440 or via email at monopw@mono.ca.gov . Due to the remote location of many of our facilities, Public Works operates the disposal sites on either solar power or generators powered by diesel fuel. Gate attendants are equipped with cell phones, but cellular service is not provided in all areas of Mono County.
