Currently the Bridgeport Cemetery does not require a fee for plots.  Plots are measured in 5’x10’ increments.

It is the responsibility of the plot requester, person / mortuary handling funeral arrangements to retain services to have the gravesite opened and closed.  A listing of businesses that perform this type of work may be obtained from Public Works upon request.

An agent or officer from Public Works must mark plot perimeter prior to any work to be performed.  Public Works also requests that whoever shall perform the opening and closing of a gravesite contact Public Works to notify as to when work will be performed.  Once the burial is complete, Public works will again mark the site for the placement of the marker.

All associated paperwork must be completed and received in the Public Works offices in Bridgeport (P. O. Box 457,74 North School Street, Bridgeport, CA, 93517) prior to any burial is to occur.
